Stocks covered

Stock Analysis covers all stocks and ETFs currently listed on the main US exchanges: NASDAQ, NYSE, NYSE American, NYSE Arca and CBOE BZX. We also cover numerous stocks that are listed on the OTC markets. We also have data on companies that are listed outside of the United States but trade on US exchanges. We are working on adding international stock exchanges with the goal of having every tradable stock in the world available on the site.

Stock prices

Real-time data on stock prices is gotten from FMP.

However, this real-time price may differ slightly from the price shown on the actual exchange. When FMP real-time data is not available, a 15-minute delayed price is shown.Pre-market and after-hours stock prices are also delayed by 15 minutes and provided by FMP.

For international stocks and stocks that trade on the OTC markets, we provide either 15-minute delayed or end-of-day stock prices.

For each stock, the time when the stock price was last updated is shown below the stock price. The timestamp is shown in Eastern Time for US and Canadian stocks and the stock exchange's local time for stocks trading on other exchanges.

Stock Charts

Both intraday and historical stock price chart data comes from FMP.

Historical Financials

Stock Analysis gets its fundamental financial data from FMP. This data pulls information from the official annual and quarterly SEC reports of publicly traded companies.

The fundamental data is updated daily, but in some cases companies are late to file their annual (10-K) and quarterly (10-Q) reports. When that happens, the financial data on Stock Analysis will not update until these reports have been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

This ensures that all the financial data shown is as accurate as possible. It is the same official and audited data that is submitted to the SEC.

Price Targets, Analyst Estimates and Forecasts

All price targets and analyst ratings are provided by Benzinga/FMP. and sourced from Wall Street analysts. Revenue and EPS forecasts come from FMP and are sourced from Wall Street analysts and other sell-side and buy-side analysts.

Information on analyst accuracy, average returns and others are provided by Benzinga/FMP.

Each data provider uses different methods to source their analyst ratings, including by gathering their ratings and price targets from different sets of analysts. Because of this, the information shown on this site may be slightly different than what other sites show even though it should be directionally similar.

All of these numbers are predictions and should not be relied upon to make investment decisions. It is impossible to accurately predict stock prices so analysts are often wrong.

ETF Holdings

ETF holdings data comes from FMP.

Dividends

Most historical dividends data comes from FMP. Dividend yield, dividend growth, payout frequency and other metrics are calculated by us based on the historical dividend data.

Corporate Actions

The corporate actions data shown on the site comes from FMP.

Quality control

Each new stock and ETF is added to the site automatically.

We also do regular scans and spot checks to look for inaccuracies, or outdated or missing data.

In addition, we gather data from various sources about new stock listings, delistings, name or symbol changes, mergers, acquisitions and others to ensure that all stocks on the site are displayed in the most accurate way possible.

That said, it is impossible to maintain 100% accuracy for thousands of stocks and ETFs. If you notice any discrepancies then please send us an email at support@stockwolfy.com and we will look into it right away.
